I think we might want to buy Governor Steve Beshear some presents. According to the tax timer to your right, it only took about 69 days for Beshear to change his mind and decide that raising taxes might be a good idea - something that might improve the lives of Kentuckians. Beshear currently believes that money in the hands of the government, not Kentuckians, is better for Kentucky overall. But why propose a $.7 increase? If that is helpful, why not just go all out and propose a $2 increase? Why stop there? How about $3?

Let’s get Beshear a going away present, because he’s about to become irrelevant to Kentucky government. Buying Beshear these flip-flops from the Kentucky Derby Museum will not only support the local economy, it will send Steve Beshear a message. Plus, they look like the perfect dancing shoes for the next time Beshear wants to do the slots-trot.

If the horseshoe is any indicator, Beshear’s luck has run out.
