Democrats beware. Just hours after Sen. Barack Obama insulted “bitter” small-town Americans who “cling to guns and religion,” Rep. Geoff Davis (KY-4) had a message of his own for the small-town people of Kentucky, and he didn’t shy away from gun terminology. PolitickerKY reports:
I’m going to be hunting come this November, all the way down the ticket. And I want that message gun-barrel straight.~ Rep. Geoff Davis (KY-4)
Davis has virtually no challengers after running the best campaign in the country in 2006. In an environment where almost every Republican was challenged, Republicans lost the House and Senate, and the Davis rematch with Ken Lucas was expected to be close, Davis pulled out a double digit win.
Nothing will stop Davis’s reelection this year, so he’s going to help State House and Senate candidates as well as candidates for local offices pick off the plethora of weak Democrats out there in the 4th District.
The stupidity of and joke that is Governor Steve Beshear is going to be helpful this fall.
Hope to see you at the NRA convention in Louisville next month, Congressman.
