Another Conservative Elected - In Europe

Boo hoo.

Whether it’s purely cyclical or a ripple in the world’s pond emanating from American wake up calls, Europe seems to be slowly changing for the better. From Nicolas Sarkozy, to Angela Merkel, increasing numbers of Europeans seem to be moving towards strong advocacy of strong, simple, common sense, conservative government. In some ways, as strange as it sounds, Europe does seem to have a firmer grasp on common sense than America, kind of like an older brother. Take their use of nuclear power, for example. They use it while American liberals fight a public relations war to keep everyone afraid of it. Same with clean coal.

Now, London Mayor “Red” Ken Livingstone has finally been ousted. Conservative Boris Johnson survived a hate-filled attack and won the election Thursday. Plus, as an added bonus, a good number of Muslim non-extremists are playing in Britain’s conservative party, while Muslim extremists fought to keep Livingstone in power.

One website dedicated to stopping Boris’ election, put its failure this way:

Our campaign has failed. We did our best, but it wasn’t good enough to compete with Lynton Crosby and the massed ranks of the right-wing press.

Silly liberals.

America desperately needs to fight knee-jerk emotional political reactions and retain common sense this November when we pick a new President.
