The English Labour Party is currently in its worst shape ever.
I wrote last week about how the conservative Tory Boris Johnson defeated 2-term London Mayor “Red” Ken Livingstone. Radical Islamists, of course, fought like hell to keep Livingstone in office.
Recent polling shows the Tories enjoying a huge margin:
The poll, which put the Tories 26 points ahead, added to the pressure on Gordon Brown a week after Labour suffered a devastating set of local election results and saw Boris Johnson become Mayor of London.A YouGov survey put the Tories on 49 per cent and Labour on 23. The Liberal Democrats are on 17.
While some worldwide liberals have pointed to narrow losses in recent elections in France as signs of faltering leadership from the conservative President Nicolas Sarkozy, Sarkozy’s reply was essentially “At least I’m not Gordon Brown.”
The Prime Minister of England Gordon Brown’s Labour Party was massacred in some recent local elections in England:
Labour’s share of the vote was 24 per cent, putting them in third place behind the Tories (44 per cent) and the Liberal Democrats (25 per cent).
