This is part of why it is so imperative that we elect John McCain this year. We do not want the embarrassment of having to say that France has a better president than we do. Nicolas Sarkozy is a gem, though.
He had very harsh words for the military government of Burma. The junta is so terrible it forces its people to live in conditions in which one cyclone can kill 100,000 people and refuses to allow other nations to help its people recover in the aftermath of the storm.
Words can only do so much, though. That’s something the United Nations hasn’t realized yet. Maybe that is why TIME is asking “Is It Time to Invade Burma?”
