The 2-0 / 1-1 / 0-2 election calculus everyone has been doing to predict what will happen in the hours after polls close in Indiana and North Carolina tonight may be irrelevant.
If the Hillary Clinton campaign is actually secretly preparing a move at the end of May to seat all of the delegates from Florida and Michigan, the Howard Dean led Democratic National Convention may be in for a complete disaster.
Clinton may argue that seating the Florida and Michigan delegates will prevent the riots that appear to be materializing.
She could then argue that among states with seated delegates she has the popular vote lead.
If she has the momentum, the big states, the swing states, and the popular vote lead, superdelegates may listen to her argument.
I, personally, believe that Barack Obama will be nominated no matter what, because of diversity standards. However, if enough Democrats would get mad as hell about nominating the sure loser, Obama, we may have a different story.
