Psychobabble: But correct psychobabble about Hillary Clinton. Why Clinton Continues.
Double Digits: Senator Mitch McConnell is +12% over W. Bruce Lunsford and +13% over Greg Fischer. Yet Lunsford is +20% over Fischer in the primary.
It seems to me that since Fischer and Lunsford are running neck and neck against McConnell, they would want to pick the candidate with the least baggage and the freshest voice.
They’re Democrats, though. I forgot. They want Lunsford’s money to go around this summer into their checking accounts. Consulting fees.
Bad Hair: Democrat Senate candidates debated last night. Elephants in the Bluegrass has a good roundup. Highlight:
My initial impression was visual: I haven’t seen so many ill-fitting suits and bad hair-cuts since my Junior Prom. I was embarrassed for most of these guys. (Greg Fischer, and W. Bruce Lunsford, in contrast, looked like zillionaires.)
Wake Up, Joe!: Joe Gerth must have been in awe last night. He posted on Politics in Kentucky at precisely 7:10 pm a piece entitle “The Rising” in which he dreamily stated:
Obama has just walked up on the stage as the speaker’s blared Bruce Springsteen’s “The Rising.”It’s a huge crowd and and the atmosphere is electric.
Terrible. I would have liked to have known how many steps Obama had to take before getting to the stage, how many hands were shaken once he got there, which hand he held the microphone in, what color skin the people directly behind him had, how many times people chanted “Yes we can!”
Wake up, Joe!
