John McCain will be in town Saturday for a combined fundraiser with Senator Mitch McConnell and the Republican Party of Kentucky.

The event, organized by former Ambassador to Latvia Cathy Bailey and former top Rove aide J. Scott Jennings, can be expected to raise between $1.5 million to $2 million dollars for various candidates and entities.

The final tally will get a running start with upwards of two dozen people donating individually or raising $25,000. For individuals donating this amount, they would quickly run into contribution limits to Senator McCain’s presidential campaign, Senator McConnell’s reelection campaign, and RPK.

The balance of their contributions will be sent to battleground states and other races expected to be particularly close.
