Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D - CA), the actual San Francisco representative, is coming to Louisville in an attempt to raise the clout of a local San Francisco representative, our plutocratic Rep. John Yarmuth (D - Bitter Kentucky).

She is scheduling events at the University of Louisville for an “official” visit so the underfunded Yarmuth campaign doesn’t have to foot the bill for her carbon-emitting trip here. Taxpayers will get the tab.

Speaker Pelosi is expected to meet with students at UofL as well as presidents of all the local universities in Louisville (UofL, Bellarmine, Spaulding, etc.)

I hope the students ask her why she favors policies that lead to expensive gasoline. I hope they ask her why she refuses to support policies that would cause the price of gas to drop immediately. I hope they also remind her and Yarmuth that if President Bush had followed their advice regarding Iraq, that we might have lost that war by now. Instead, we’re on the brink of being able to honestly declare victory. While they’re at it, I hope they ask Yarmuth why he has voted against drilling for oil not only in Alaska, but also on the outer continental shelf.

If you don’t want to drill in Alaska because of the caribou, fine, but you have to allow the United States to drill SOMEWHERE. The Chinese are drilling for oil in our waters, and I think Bush needs to fire a missile at their rig the second it reaches into our pocket. No nation should be allowed to take our oil from us, especially when it’s only stupid liberals like Nancy Pelosi and John Yarmuth and their ridiculous no energy plan that is stopping American workers from drilling for American oil so people can buy American gasoline for their cars.
