Honestly, I don’t really enjoy talking about the subject. It’s ridiculous. We shouldn’t have to. However, the way Democrats constantly use race as a wedge issue distraction from the issues that matter, we have to talk about it. The mystery of why about 90% of African-Americans vote for Democrats makes it one that we have to talk about every now and then. And when a bright young African-American Republican wins an election, anywhere, but especially in a southern state, we should talk about it for a few minutes and try to spread the good news.
Tim Scott won a three-way Republican primary yesterday for a state House seat. He is unopposed in the general and will become the first African-American Republican to serve in the South Carolina state House since Reconstruction. It’s good for South Carolina, because he says “Taxpayers first.”
In this episode of Liberty or Death: The Blue Grass, Red State Podcast, I spoke with Mr. Scott for a few minutes.
