Before going into numbers, I just want to say that I am against crying foul against a particular pollster when the numbers don’t work for you and then touting that same pollster when the report says something good for you. No doubt the Congressional numbers from Rasmussen and SurveyUSA are around the same lows as other respected polls. However, I am against reporting their numbers when they help and then tearing down their credibility when they don’t. With that said, Gallup is confirming a record disapproval rating for the Nancy Pelosi/Harry Reid/Democrat controlled Congress that does nothing except name buildings after people.
The lack of action from the Democrat-led Congress on gas prices and its overall record of mismanagement and partisanship has the public expressing its displeasure with the latest Gallup poll showing a 14% approval rating. It is “the lowest congressional job approval rating in the 34-year Gallup Poll history of asking the question.” Gallup writes, “Approval of Congress has fallen below 20% only six times in the 34 years Gallup has measured it. Including the latest reading, four of those have come in the past year.” This latest low follows last week’s record low 9% approval in Rasmussen’s poll.
