Following the lead of Minority Leader John Boehner (R - OH) and Whip Roy Blunt (R - TX), Congressman Geoff Davis (KY - 4) donated $200,000 of his campaign war chest to the National Republican Congressional Committee today, according to The Politico.

The donations were part of a “fall fundraising drive to minimize expected losses in November,” and while Davis was certainly glad to be able to help (facing only limited opposition this fall), one political reality is that the donation will buy him some additional influence on the Hill. 

Rep. Hal Rogers (KY - 5) also gave the committee $150,000.
